Who needs clothing?

When you can tattoo your clothing on. I've found these beautiful examples of clothing ink. I really like the corset idea but you have to be the right body shape to pull it off. (not me I'm afraid). I admire the hours of work that must have gone into all three pieces, especially the bodice piece which uses a lovely earthy range of colours.

Art Inspired

Whether it be line art, kids art or the masters, art is a good starting place for inspiration.

I like the idea of having your child draw something but I'm not sure that the numerous space ships my boys draw would stand the test of tattoo time. Likewise with their names written in their own handwriting. Sentimental most certainly but not always beautiful.
You need to be really confident with your tattoo artist to attempt a copy of existing art, though the style could be emulated well.
Luckily the colours available today can make your body into a beautiful living canvas unlike the monochromatic colours of yesteryear.

Line drawings can be ideal for the small space you have left...they are clear and easy to see and the range is endless.
Sometimes the fun of getting inked is the search for that right piece more so than getting the ink itself.

Dragon love

After watching the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo I have developed a new respect for dragon tattoos. Before I had a tendency to think of them as old school but these beauties have brought them thoroughly into the modern art work.
These are certainly dramatic!

Font nerd

When words of wisdom are so profound you need to have them on your body, the font makes all the difference! Honest. Here are some fonts I love, never ever will you see comic sans on my skin when there are great fonts out there like these.

Love that someone loves fonts so much they have Font Nerd inked on their body....

Tattoos my kids would get..given the chance

Can you imagine kids with tattoos? For small people getting their shots is scary and thats only one needle so probably not.
But if they suddenly took brave pills and were allowed this is what I imagine by boys would get....

I'm sure Mario and friends would feature heavily.

Lego, a must. (at least you can't stand on the damn stuff ).
Life is not complete without StarWars

or superheros when you are a boy

They eat enough vegemite, it could be worthy of a tattoo
 Space, the final frontier

Their controllers do seem to be tattooed to their hands...

And this is wishful thinking on my part lol.
